Meet Lisa Ann Schoenbrun
I’m Lisa Ann Schoenbrun, and I’m passionate about helping students achieve their college dreams. With more than 30 years of experience in college readiness, admissions, and scholarship guidance, I bring extensive knowledge and personalized support to every student’s journey.
From building a strong academic foundation to navigating applications, essays, scholarships, and financial aid, I help students and families approach the college admissions process with clarity and confidence. Together, we can turn ambitious goals into meaningful opportunities.
Experience That Makes a Difference
For more than 30 years, I served students as a classroom educator and Go Center Coordinator at Franklin High School in El Paso, Texas. As the school’s college readiness coordinator, I guided more than 3,250 students through college planning, admissions, scholarship applications, and financial-aid decisions.
I also served as the National Honor Society and Key Club advisor, helping students strengthen their leadership skills, serve their community, and develop experiences that reflect their individual interests and values.
I am a member of the Texas Association for College Admission Counseling (TACAC) and the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC). I have also served on multiple Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board committees focused on financial aid.
My areas of expertise include QuestBridge, college and scholarship applications, personal statements, supplemental essays, academic planning, and long-term admissions strategy.
Recognition and Student Success
In March 2024, Chick-fil-A recognized me as one of ten educators nationwide for my work as a Chick-fil-A Leader Academy advisor. I was also recognized by the University of Chicago as an Outstanding Educator.
Throughout my career, I have helped students earn admission to highly selective colleges and universities, including Yale, Princeton, Harvard, Cornell, Johns Hopkins, Southern Methodist University, Notre Dame, the University of Chicago, Amherst, Bucknell, the University of Michigan, Duke, UCLA, Kenyon, USC, Franklin & Marshall, Dickinson, and many others.
Beyond College Advising
I am married to my husband, David, and we have one daughter, Eleanor, a Yale graduate who is continuing her studies at Georgetown University.
Community service remains an important part of my life. I am involved with the Junior League of El Paso, the Animal Rescue League of El Paso, Mt. Franklin Kiwanis—where I serve as a zone administrator—and Chi Omega Alumnae, where I serve as an area recruitment chair.
Let’s Begin the Journey
Every student deserves thoughtful guidance, an individualized strategy, and someone who believes in their potential. I would be honored to help your family confidently navigate the path to college.
