Your Story. Your Goals. Your College Journey.

Applying to college is more than completing an application. It is about helping colleges understand **who you are, what you have accomplished, and what you will bring to their campus.

As a College Readiness Advisor with decades of experience working with high school students, I provide personalized, one-on-one guidance throughout the college application process. My goal is not to create an application for a student, but to help each student present the strongest and most authentic version of themselves.

College application support

I work individually with students to navigate the entire application process, including:

* Building a balanced college list based on academics, interests, career goals, finances, and campus fit
* Common Application and ApplyTexas guidance
* Reviewing activities, honors, leadership, employment, and community service
* Helping students determine which experiences should receive the greatest emphasis
* Developing and strengthening student resumes
* Reviewing application sections for accuracy, clarity, and consistency
* Helping students describe activities and accomplishments within strict character limits
* Identifying application deadlines and developing an organized submission timeline
* Reviewing supplemental applications
* Helping students research individual colleges, programs, majors, professors, organizations, traditions, and opportunities so applications demonstrate genuine interest
* Preparing students for scholarship and honors program applications
* Final application review before submission

College Essay coaching

A great college essay should be the STUDENT’S VOICE, not a parent, teacher, consultant, or artificial intelligence.

My approach to essay coaching begins with conversation. I help students identify the experiences, moments, values, challenges, interests, and sometimes even small details that reveal something meaningful about who they are.

STUDENTS RECEIVE GUIDANCE WITH:

* Common App personal statements
* Supplemental essays
* “Why This College?” essays
* “Why This Major?” essays
* Leadership and community service essays
* Scholarship essays
* Honors college applications
* Short-answer responses

I help students brainstorm topics, develop a compelling opening, organize their ideas, strengthen transitions, eliminate unnecessary wording, and create an ending that leaves the reader understanding something important about the student.

Most importantly, I preserve the student’s voice and show them how to use AI ethically and with integrity.

I do not believe in rewriting a student’s essay until it sounds like it was written by an adult or by AI. Instead, I ask questions, make suggestions, identify areas that need development, and help students find better ways to communicate what they are already trying to say.

Making an application personal

Strong applications contain details that cannot simply be copied and pasted into another student’s application.

When appropriate, I help students research the colleges they are considering so they can connect their own goals and interests to specific opportunities. This may include academic programs, courses, professors, research, student organizations, traditions, service opportunities, residence life, study spaces, athletics, or other aspects of campus life.

The result is an application that demonstrates not only **“Why do I want this college?”** but also **“Why am I a good match for this college?”**

EXPERIENCE THAT MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

During my career in education and college readiness, I have worked with hundreds of students pursuing opportunities ranging from local and state universities to some of the nation’s most selective colleges.

My students have earned millions of dollars in scholarships, received Ivy League and highly selective university acceptances, and earned competitive scholarship opportunities, including QuestBridge awards.

That experience has taught me something important:

  • There is no single formula for a successful college application.
  • Every student has a story. My job is to help them recognize it, develop it, and communicate it effectively.
  • Guiding today. Empowering tomorrow.

let's begin the journey

Every student deserves thoughtful guidance, an individualized strategy, and someone who believes in their potential. I would be honored to help your family confidently navigate the path to college.
